If you are aged 21 or over, you may opt to take the Direct Access Scheme, (DAS) this means that you will take your test on a machine of over 46.6 bhp; in our case we use Suzuki GS 500’s. On passing by the DAS scheme you will be entitled to ride a machine of any size and power. This course can be taken whether you have little or no experience, and is our most popular course. As with all the courses you will have already taken and passed the motorcycle theory test and have a valid provisional motorcycle licence (cat ‘A’), if you have a full car licence you will already have a provisional motorcycle licence. The DAS course comes in various formats, as defined below:

3-DAY DAS
A steep learning curve for the more experienced 125 Rider who already has a CBT and of course passed your Theory Test. After an introduction to the GS 500, the rest of the Course is spent on the Road, building you up, to take the Test at the end of Day 3.

4-DAY DAS
A little more leeway on this one! again you should already have a CBT or had one previously, and be quite happy on a 125. Day 1 if necessary is a CBT day, or if you already have CBT, you will start of with the DAS Conversion Day and the course will run fairly similarly to the 3-Day course, culminating with the Test at the end of the 4th Day.

5-DAY DAS
This course can be taken by the complete novice and starts of with Day 1 being the CBT day, the 2nd Day is spent on a 125 and conversion to the 500 normally takes place on the 3rd Day, subsequent Days are spent on the 500 leading you up to the Test at the end of Day 5. A lot to be taken in, but well worth the end result!

6-DAY DAS  
Our premiere and most popular course, the complete novice or those wishing to make certain of the results can take this course! The course follows the same routine as the 5-Day Course, but with that that extra Day built in to just make sure. The 6-Day course is run as a ‘Surepass’ scheme, whereby should you fail the Test on the 6th Day you will receive at least 2 free Retests, including training, and Bike Hire. The surepass course must be run for 6 consecutive days in order to qualify for the guaranteed pass.
