A few words about PARAGON

PARAGON has been carrying out Motorcycle Training in the Solent areas for the last 12 years, and has become a well known and respected Approved Training Body (ATB) within the local Motorcycling community, and our DSA approved Instructors have over 30 years combined experience to pass on to our future customers!. We train in the Gosport, Fareham and Portsmouth Areas, our CBT's being done in Gosport & Fareham, and DSA Tests being done in Gosport and in Portsmouth.

Current owner and Chief Instructor - Dave Baglee - started PARAGON Rider Training after completing a 22 Year career with the Royal Navy. Leaving the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer, Dave decided to combine his teaching skills learnt as a weapons Instructor, with his hobby of motorcycling, and PARAGON was born! Dave is now a holder of the prestigious RoSPA Gold Advanced Certificate, the highest Civilian advanced qualification and has recently qualified as a RoSPA Diploma Advanced Instructor.

When not instructing, Dave can be found hurtling around Europe on his favourite bikes, a 1997 Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird, or a 2007 Honda Pan European ST 1300.

Our other Full time Instructors:

Dave Whymark, otherwise known as 'Biffo', has been riding Bikes since the world was thought to be flat! After a career in the Royal Navy, including competing quite a few times in the Fleet Air Arm Field Gun Crew, he drove Petrol Tankers, before taking up Motorcycle Instructing with PARAGON. When not Instructing, Biffo can be found restoring his Yamaha YZF 750, or riding his Yamaha FJR 1300 or Fazer 1000, - he has obviously got a thing about Yamaha's!

Andy Harvey, also known as 'Penfold', has been riding Bikes since he was only 15, and insists that that was only 10 Years ago!! Andy did a few years in the Army and took up Motorcycle Instructing in 1997. Andy enjoys watching Motorcycle Racing and took part himself for a season, racing a GSXR 750 in Sweden, he now owns a 2007Suzuki 1250 Bandit, and enjoys 'Social' Motorcycling, and is a mainstay of the Red Lion, Stubbington's Motorcycle Evening held every Monday Evening. Andy married his girlfriend Anna on Wednesday 16th April 2008 so congratulations to those two!
